My Approach to Helping
I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor. I take all approaches in the here and now, and I try to help my clients focus on what they can do NOW and achieve the results they need to improve their lives. We call this solution-focused.
I use an Eclectic Approach which includes Solution Focused, Existential Psychology, and Positive Psychology therapies.
I like all clients of any age. Please be ready for me just to be there and ask you questions from the start. I am very person-centered and will not be asking you to do a bunch of homework except just thinking about the things we talk about.
You will feel very involved with me and in the present. I will not be asking you a bunch of questions and filling out paperwork as we talk. I want you to feel very open, and with us, in the present moment to work on any issues you bring to our session.
I started with my BA degree in Psychology, and then many years went by before I completed my MA in Professional Counseling.
I have strong faith and was in the Seminary for Catholic Priest for 2 years of college. I have a strong interest in aging and helping families and aging persons. I am very open to working with all age groups. I just prefer working one on one.
My goal is a no guild form of therapy. Let's just put our heads together and see what we can do to make this better.
Total listening and total involvement from me, the therapist. I want to be there where you are at the moment with no strings attached and just work with you right here and right now
