My Approach to Helping
Mountain Crest Counseling believes individuals have the potential to heal through hope and empowerment. Our approach is to listen and provide support as we build a strong, trusting therapeutic relationship in a safe space where we can work collaboratively to identify unhelpful beliefs and assumptions that affect emotions and behaviors. In this safe, person-centered, non-judgmental space we can identify and build upon strengths and reframe beliefs in a way that fosters growth, healing, and emotional empowerment. We use evidence-based approaches such as solution-focused, cognitive-behavioral, dialectical behavior therapy, eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), brain-spotting, family systems, and art therapy.
