My Approach to Helping

Welcome! For many people, our sense of well-being and happiness as an individual can feel difficult to find at times. I am committed to helping people find their "best self" through supportive and focused counseling sessions. Using a person's unique strengths, recognizing their wants and needs, and focusing on self-care and coping strategies are helpful elements of my counseling sessions. I enjoy working with people who would like to make changes such as reducing anxiety and worry, and removing obstacles to success, whether they are present-day struggles or things from the past that "weigh us down." Everyone deserves a chance to be heard and to improve their daily life!

More Info About My Practice

In our counseling sessions, I utilize a variety of counseling techniques and methods to meet your needs as an individual. Through developing a solid rapport and working together, we can use specific methods and structure your counseling sessions to best meet your needs.

Specific Issue(s) I'm Skilled at Helping With

I work with individuals to address concerns including anxiety, depression, and various life transitions. I have experience working with both groups and individual clients to address specific anxiety concerns such as worry thoughts, panic attacks, and anxious avoidance of stressful situations. I have worked with individuals experiencing symptoms of generalized anxiety, specific phobias, panic disorder or panic attacks, and social phobias. I also have experience working with individuals who experience symptoms of trauma and PTSD, and depressive episodes. Many of these symptoms may occur to a lesser degree or temporarily for people going through life situations and adjustments (relationship or family issues, work issues, pregnancy-related concerns, adjusting to college or career changes), and I enjoy helping people navigate these life phases successfully.
