My Approach to Helping
I’m so glad you are taking this big step for yourself and looking into therapy. My approach to helping is with a non-judgmental, compassionate, open-minded, and understanding method. We will discuss you, your viewpoint, what you want, and what you hope to accomplish in therapy. I believe you are seeking counseling hoping to become a better version of you by addressing and managing issues that are bothering you. My primary objective is to help you meet your goals at your own pace. Your mental health matters!
I have worked in mental health for over 30 years in different settings (inpatient, outpatient, crisis assessment, individual therapy, and group therapy) helping individuals who experience mental health issues including depression, anxiety, difficulty with interpersonal relationships, effects of trauma, and grief. I utilize a variety of strategies including cognitive behavior therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, and mindfulness strategies.
I look forward to working with you!
