My Approach to Helping
Life can be very tough, and having someone in your corner supporting you can make all the difference. That is where I come in. While I cannot change your life circumstances, I can support you in learning the best way to respond to them in a way that aligns with your values. We will use tools to help you cope with daily life and navigate anything you are facing together. Whether it is childhood trauma, relationships, or current circumstances, we will process them together to ensure that your thoughts and beliefs are accurate and serving you in your daily life. In 2013, I graduated from The Ohio State University with a Master's Degree in Social Work. I am licensed by the State of Ohio as a licensed independent social worker. I have been providing therapeutic services for children, adolescents, and adults in a variety of settings for over nine years. I have experience working with individuals with trauma histories, and severe mental health concerns. I primarily treat anxiety, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, depression, and other mood disorders. I have extensive experience in the field of Child Welfare and can support individuals that find themselves working with Child Protective Services. I utilize cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) to help my clients ensure that they are looking at their life from an accurate perspective. By changing the way you think about your past and present stressors, you will be empowered to change the way you respond to them. By changing the way you think, you create the opportunity to live the life of your dreams.
