My Approach to Helping

As a male therapist with a focus on supporting male clients, I offer a unique blend of counseling, coaching, and psychotherapy tailored to your individual needs. My primary therapeutic modalities are Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Internal Family Systems (IFS), both of which provide powerful frameworks for personal growth and emotional well-being.

My approach is non-directive and collaborative, working alongside you to develop a personalized toolkit that includes conceptual frameworks, a solid knowledge base, and practical skills. This toolkit is designed to help you enhance your quality of life, navigate challenges, and achieve your goals. I place a strong emphasis on building a trusting therapeutic alliance, ensuring that our work together is rooted in mutual respect and understanding. While the journey can be challenging, I believe in the power of humor to lighten the path and foster connection.

Whether you’re seeking to overcome obstacles, improve relationships, or simply live a more fulfilling life, I’m here to support you with a tailored approach that respects your unique journey and empowers you to create lasting change.

More Info About My Practice

I primarily practice two types of therapy: (a) Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), a modality that emphasizes a combination of mindfulness skills with action-oriented steps rooted in values-driven decision making and (b) Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS), a relational approach to therapy focused on alleviating anxiety, depression, and healing trauma. In therapy, I like to explore how the stories we tell ourselves about who we are, and our current circumstances affects our daily experience when alone, with loved ones, or engaged in work dynamics. Exploring who we are in various environmental contexts is vital for awareness and personal growth. I believe deep down we all know what is truly best for ourselves, but our environment can facilitate patterns of distractibility, disengagement, and disconnection.

I have personally gained a great deal from being a client of skilled psychotherapists, which has been a central component to my own mental health journey. Visit my website, call me, or email me to schedule a free consultation. I am here to support you on your journey.
