My Approach to Helping
Your health and well-being are dependent upon many parts that communicate and work together in an integrative fashion. It is, therefore, important to work with professionals who will attend to your needs as a whole person. I believe in a holistic and integrative approach to physical and mental health. Together, we will attend to both the deeper internal wounds that are causing you pain, as well addressing the behaviors, thought patterns, and lifestyle choices that are getting in the way of your happiness and well being. Through this approach you will start to see improvements in every area of your life: body, mind, spirit, and soul.
My approach is to help you find and address the root causes of your suffering, rather than to label and treat the symptoms alone. By working through difficult memories and life events in a safe environment, you will be better able to understand and face your feelings and worries. I will help you think critically about your life events, and choices; uncovering long-standing patterns of behavior and thinking that may be holding you back. Together we will work to gently confront your feelings of guilt, shame, inadequacy, sadness, andor anger. This will help you to find new perspective and healthier coping mechanisms. Whether you suffer from old emotional wounds, or you have suffered a more recent loss or trauma, I can help you find your way back to a happier and more fulfilling life.
