My Approach to Helping
I take a calm, positive approach to therapy, creating a safe, welcoming space for us to work together. As a wife, mother, and friend, I understand the roles and expectations we juggle. I begin with a thorough assessment to focus our work on what matters most. Together, we’ll define goals, explore interventions, and equip you with tools to address current challenges and navigate future ones. My goal is to help you better understand yourself, others, and your environment.
More Info About My Practice
I am a mom of four children and have been married for over twenty years. I believe that family, friends, and community are vital aspects of every individual’s health and well-being. I also know that life is hard and every person, regardless of their circumstances, must learn to adapt, cope, and survive in a world that can sometimes feel relentless. I decided to become a therapist because I believe in each person’s worth, dignity, and right to live a fulfilling life. But what fulfills each one of us is unique and has to be nurtured. For me, I thrive on finding alone time in the brief moments that I can take it, and I rely on physical activity and yoga to keep my mind, body, and spirit in check. I also enjoy working with children and support several nonprofits that focus on empowering vulnerable youth to achieve their potential. I look forward to working with each client to help them nurture and sustain their interests and passions in their own lives.
