My Approach to Helping
My approach to therapy embraces the idea that the client is the expert on their own life. The human experience is largely subjective; while we may share certain concepts, individual experiences differ. Each person is born into unique circumstances, and though broad generalities may provide common ground, there are too many factors shaping each individual to assume expertise over their lives. In my view, the client is the best source of information about their life, and the therapist is someone who offers tools to help them.
