My Approach to Helping
I became a psychologist because of my passion for and desire to help others. Therapy is an intimate experience in which you share your most personal challenges and my goal is to create a safe space where you feel heard and supported so that I can help you work through those challenges. Whether you are seeking support for issues related to self-imageself-esteem, relationship, adjustment or other difficulties, we will work together to find the roots of those issues and the strategies that make most sense for you to overcome them. I understand that each person is different so it is crucial to engage in a collaborative approach to make your therapy experience work for you, rather than trying to fit you into a one size fits all approach to therapy. For that reason I draw from various schools of thought and approaches to help you develop greater understanding about your challenges and increased skills for managing them. Call me for a free phone consultation to see if I am the right therapist for you.

What I Love about Being a Psychotherapist
Being a therapist allows me to meet people from various walks of life and help them achieve the fulfillment they seek in their lives. I love getting to know each person I work with and joining with them to explore how their life experiences have shaped them. I feel honored to be present with them when we reach that "Ah ha" moment where we understand the why and how of their particular challenges. Perhaps one of my favorite parts of being a therapist is when we get to the end of therapy and look back over the work we have done together to see all the growth and change that a client has achieved.
