My Approach to Helping

Cody Watts harnesses inner healing intelligence to guide clients toward thriving. With a compassionate approach and extensive experience, Cody provides holistic, personalized therapy for individuals, couples, and families at Foundations. He believes in the innate capacity for healing within each person—comparable to how our skin heals from cuts, our psyche seeks to heal from emotional wounds. Cody is dedicated to discovering what truly fosters enduring positive change in people's lives.

Cody holds a Master of Arts Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a concentration in Mindfulness-based Transpersonal Counseling from Naropa University. He earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from Southeastern Louisiana University. Cody is an Associate Credentialed Life Coach (ACC) and a Certified Mindfulness Meditation Instructor, trained by the Center for Coaching Excellence and certified by the International Coaching Federation (ICF). He also trained under renowned meditation teacher David Nichtern and holds certification as a Meditation Instructor from Dharma Moon and Tibet House.

Cody's journey into counseling stems from a profound commitment to helping others. With over twelve years of experience, he has served diverse populations, counseling adolescents in local communities, supporting young men with criminal backgrounds in their careers, aiding formerly homeless individuals in stabilizing and recovering, and providing in-house support for youth transitioning out of foster care into adulthood. He is proud to be part of a network of highly trained, exceptional therapists at Foundations Counseling. Clients seek Foundations Counseling for trusted, quality counseling services in a professional, comfortable, confidential atmosphere. All of our counselors attend weekly training and meetings to enhance their effective approaches to therapy and to bring you the best, most up-to-date counseling services possible.
