My Approach to Helping

Are you ready to move beyond coping and toward change and healing? I help clients achieve their goals by introducing practical strategiesskills, while simultaneously working through the causes of issues so that symptoms reduce in the long term. This may involve re-evaluating your thinking, improving awareness and regulation of emotions, getting in tune with your values, identifying parts of yourself that are in conflict, or making peace with past experiences... Everyone's needs are different, so I will work with you to create a personalized treatment approach.

I work with anxiety, depression, trauma and PTSD, relationship issues, regulating emotions, anger, existential issues (life direction, purpose, meaning...), and LGBTQ+ issues (in addition to the issues listed on the right). I am passionate about working with adults of all ages, teens 13+, and LGBTQ+ identifying individuals.

Please reach out by email if you'd like to set up a free 15-minute phone consultation to discuss what you are looking for in therapy and in a potential therapist. Perhaps we can work together to meet your goals.

More Info About My Practice

I integrate multiple approaches in my practice - this may involve learning practical skills and strategies, experiencing avoided emotions, evaluating and challenging negative thought patterns, processing trauma, or resolving internal conflicts. Mental health issues are often complex, evolving, and interconnected, so approaches may shift to meet your individual needs.

What I Say to People Concerned about the Therapy Process

Beginning therapy can be intimidating, especially if you don't know what to expect. In a first session, we'll explore what brings you to therapy, lay out the life context of your concerns, and determine goals. Together, we will untangle your concerns to determine a clearer path forward. As therapy advances, we will monitor progress to ensure that your goals are being met.
