My Approach to Helping

As the facilitator of the process the focus is to build trust and provide sanctuary through the course as you build healthy, deeper and more fulfilling relationships.
My philosophy is that you will respond according to emotional needs that are not being met which can then effect your relationships with romantic partners, family members, friends and co-workers. Allowing you the opportunity to uncover those needs elicits feelings of safety, being heard and valued.
Relationship concerns like ineffective communication, medical illness, sexual variances, depression and other mood issues are where the bulk of my experience and interests lie.
The therapy process can sometimes be daunting as many are leery of old issues being surfaced; together, we can address these concerns successfully.

More Info About My Practice

Helping my clients achieve specific goals through self awareness, emotional connection and re-engagement with their own family systems and relationships is what the purpose of my work. All couples, families, and individuals (25 years of age and older) and members of all communities are welcome in my practice.
I have Advanced training in Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy, a nonjudgmental model that strives to engage each partner in a relationship to allow for deeper emotional connections. I am excited to help you with your goals.

Had a Negative Therapy Experience?

If you have had a negative therapy experience, but still feel the need for help; give me a call and lets talk.
Please allow me the opportunity to build your trust and confidence. The therapist-client relationship is a dominant factor in the process without it, nothing else can happen.
Feeling important and valued through the process is paramount to your ability to relinquish old experiences and replace them with new positive experiences.
Hopefully, when you do choose a therapist, you can find one who values you, just because you are you.

How My Own Struggles Made Me a Better Therapist

My life's experiences allow me the ability to be present with you. Each of us has a story that shapes who we are, how we respond in situations and the choices that we make.
It is important to focus on the positives that each person brings to relationships. It is those positives that make working on the growth areas worth the challenge that the work may be.
Know that I will be there with you through the steps while you and your partner, friends andor family members build confidence in your trust, positive emotional connections and security with each other.
