"Cynthia Hawk, M.Ed., LPC-S, MAC, MCBQS, Founder & Owner, is a Mental Health Counseling Psychotherapist, National Master Addiction Counselor, Certified by the Missouri Credentialing Board to train addiction counselors, a Certified Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapist, a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor (training and supervising counselors), Certified Mental Health First Aider, Wellness Coach & Trainer, Board Certified "Kink Conscious"" Sex Therapist and Coach, and a student obtaining a PhD in Clinical Sexology. She holds a Master of Education in Guidance and Counseling and Community Agency Counseling. She also has degrees in Psychology, Criminal Justice, and Liberal Studies. Cynthia's goal is to provide a safe, non-judgmental environment that nurtures therapeutic rapport and promotes the client’s positive change and growth. Her eclectic therapeutic approach is designed to fit the client’s individual needs. Cynthia has years of educational and counseling experience working with adolescents and adults. Her professional work experience includes substance abuse and mental health therapy in community agencies and non-profit settings, as well as educational assistance in a public environment. She is a speaker and facilitator and has been featured in several media sources pertaining to her work as a licensed therapist. Her experience also includes addiction assessments, sexual differentiation within couples, trauma, co-occurring disorders, stress, grief, anxiety, sex-positive therapy, mood disorders, kink consciousness, and various types of relationships, including polyamory. Therapeutic modalities include Brainspotting, EMDR, CBT, DBT, IBT, and Expressive Art Therapy (EXA). The community she works with consists of different sexual orientations, gender identities, and expressions."
