My Approach to Helping
Hello, my name is Daisy Cook and I've worked as a clinical social worker for 16 years. I received my license in clinical social work in 2014. I provide humanistic therapy and cognitive-behavioral psychotherapy. My focus areas are anxiety, depression, trauma, interpersonal effectiveness, life transitions, existential issues, grief, and loss. I use an eclectic approach including psychoanalysis and psychodynamic therapy, behavioral therapy, cognitive therapy, and humanistic therapy.
At this stage in my career, I typically work with adult individuals. I strive to create an emotionally safe space where clients feel respected, supported, listened to, understood, and heard. I am driven to be a therapist by my desire to empower individuals, enhance well-being, push people toward fulfilling their potential, and improve communities all over the world. The client and I will collaborate to formulate treatment goals, which will be periodically reassessed to determine progress, and whether the treatment plan needs to be amended.
You can expect to be warmly received, listened to without judgment, and asked questions to explore what is most meaningful and important for you to work on and achieve in therapy.
