My Approach to Helping

I strive to provide a safe place for all women to heal in a caring, trusting therapeutic relationship. I work with a wide variety of individuals, including those struggling with the effects of motor vehicle accidents, sexual assault, attachment injuries, childhood trauma, prenatal and postpartum trauma, medical trauma, disturbing memories, phobias, and more. I regularly work with other helping professionals, such as counselors, nurses, and teachers, navigating their trauma histories.

Before beginning trauma work with all new clients, I focus on stability and safety.

More Info About My Practice

I provide counseling over telehealth, which gives you access to therapy without the commute and from the comfort of your home. These live video therapy sessions are offered to anyone in Kansas or Washington State.

My clients often do their sessions from home, work, or their (parked) car. Sometimes we schedule sessions while the kids are napping or over a lunch break.

I often get asked if EMDR and counseling are as effective as telehealth. In my experience, yes, as long as the therapist is a good fit for you and you feel comfortable. My clients have healed from trauma and gained new insights about themselves over telehealth.
