My Approach to Helping
With over two decades of dedicated service, I am a seasoned therapist committed to fostering a supportive and empowering environment for my clients. My approach is rooted in person-centered therapy, which emphasizes the unique individuality of each person and the importance of their perspective and experiences. My journey began with a solid educational foundation, earning master’s degrees in counseling psychology and social work, equipping me with a deep understanding of the human psyche and the complexities of social dynamics.
My formative years included invaluable experience with the Samaritans of New York City, where I embraced the befriending model—a compassionate approach to offering support without judgment. This experience profoundly shaped my therapeutic philosophy and continues to inform my practice today. I believe in the power of empathy, active listening, and the creation of a safe space where clients can explore their thoughts and feelings freely. I am privileged to walk alongside my clients on their path to self-discovery and healing.
