My Approach to Helping
I’m here to join you on your journey. I won’t force you down a certain path, but I also won’t passively observe. My role is to help you process what’s happening and gain clarity in your relationships and emotions. Therapy isn’t about needing more therapy, it’s about finding lasting change, though some clients choose to work with me long-term. My approach is humanistic and emotionally based, grounded in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) for couples and attachment-based therapy for individuals. Together, we’ll explore the patterns that keep you stuck and work toward deeper connection and healing.
More Info About My Practice
I work exclusively with my clients online. Not all clients are an ideal fit for this work, but I'm happy to speak with you in a consultation to see if it's a format that could work for you, or if I would recommend seeing someone in-person.
My Role as a Therapist
My role as a therapist is to be on your side?and by your side?through whatever you?re experiencing, for as long as you need or want support. However, being "on your side" does not mean I will always "take your side." At times, I will challenge you, but always from a place of care and a commitment to helping you achieve greater fulfillment and well-being.
On the Fence About Going to Therapy?
Give it a shot, and see. What's the worst that could happen? I promise you it's not that bad, and you might actually enjoy having someone whose purpose is to listen and understand you.
What Makes up a Problem?
If you think something is a "problem" for you, then it's a problem to be processed. No one can dictate to you what constitutes a problem in your life, only you can make that determination. If you can't figure out whether something is or is not a problem, then we can process that together as well.
