My Approach to Helping
I work with adults struggling with a wide range of challenges including loss of relationships, life transitions and disappointments, and personal problems like anxiety, depression, addiction, or trauma. Together, we'll create a safe space where you'll gain insight and perspective into thoughts, feelings and behaviors that are no longer working for you. With these new understandings, you'll be able to make better choices and positive life changes. Pain can be valuable - by working through your pain, you'll gain a self-awareness you didn't have before.

A significant piece of my therapeutic style is developing effective coping skills with the belief that everyone does the best they can with the resources they have. This is individual, very personal work and is different for everyone.

Whether you are interested in short-term interventions or a longer insight oriented self-exploration, I can help you figure out what you are facing and develop skills to manage long-term change in your life,
Specific Issue(s) I'm Skilled at Helping With
Although I'm trained to work with most disorders in most populations and I have a general practice where I treat mostly adults for a wide variety of reasons, I do have a special interest in working with Seniors. My interest stems partly from my training and experience and partly from my relationship with my beloved grandmother.
