My Approach to Helping
My approach to therapy is deeply rooted in Gestalt and the Paradoxical Theory of Change which states: "Change occurs when one becomes what he is, not when he tries to become something he is not." Anxiety and depression often show up when we are out of alignment with our truth and disconnected from what makes us feel alive. I work relationally to support my clients in reconnecting to who they are at their core and to help them discover unhealthy patterns and ways they may be holding themselves back from living a more authentic and heartfelt life and experiencing more meaningful relationships.

Importance of the Client-Therapist Alliance
There is nothing more important than finding a therapist you feel safe with and one that you can deeply trust. Of course, establishing trust and safety can take time, and it is completely up to you how long that takes. The pace at which we work together is also entirely up to you. It is my hope that you will feel safe enough with me in time to show up with all aspects of who you are, especially those parts of yourself that may feel unwelcome, unwanted or shameful. I invite and welcome every aspect of who you are.
