My Approach to Helping
My approach to therapy is strength-based and future-focused, primarily conducted with cognitive behavioral therapy. Life can get overwhelming for any us of sometimes. The problem is that, sometimes, coping with it the way you used to doesn't work any longer. That's when you need to ask for help. Asking for help can be intimidating for lots of folks. It's not a sign of weakness; it's a sign of strength. I collaborate with you to set goals that are important to you and keep those in mind throughout. I place tremendous importance on self-care and self-compassion while at the same time teaching you how to improve your coping skills, reduce your negative mood and boost your sense of self-control and self-confidence.
