My Approach to Helping
I believe every person has a powerful story and deserves respect. I work to understand the goals and concerns of the individuals I meet. I work with individuals and partners who are struggling to succeed in relationships with themselves or others.
I would describe myself as open-minded, optimistic and empathetic.
The different therapeutic approaches are just tools to help clients experience success.
I offer a 30 minute no charge meeting to ensure that you feel you are working with the right person to help you achieve your goals.

How Psychotherapy Can Help
If for one day, every time you met a person you could see the emotional burdens they are carrying,I think you would be awestruck. I am when I meet clients who have done their best for years to cope with heavy burdens, beliefs, abuse, addictions etc...Most of the people I meet don't give themselves credit for carrying these burdens because they are still struggling, but coming to therapy is a decision to lighten the emotional load.
Had a Negative Therapy Experience?
I myself have had good and not so good experiences seeking individual therapy, but don't give up. First begin by spending time with a potential therapist. Tell them your concern and ask them to speak with you about how therapy would be with them. They may ask you what you think went wrong in your last experience, they may explain their approach etc..What they say may not matter as much as whether they are listening to your concerns and responding to them? If you feel they aren't, try another therapist. The phone interview can save you a lot of time and can help start things off with you speaking honestly about a big concern.
