My Approach to Helping
Hello and Welcome to my page! I am a highly trained licensed psychologist, certified in the following: sexology, yoga therapy, psychedelic integration (therapies and research), and executive and holistic coaching. I have a straightforward and friendly approach to working together to assist individuals and couples and groups to live a life and lives that generate satisfaction and manifests authenticity. I aim to help create a space that is high in curiosity and non-judgemental. Psychotherapeutic and coaching work is personal in nature and needs to be treated as such. The intake session (first meeting) includes a full evaluation of course of treatment, plan, program and recommendations.
More Info About My Practice
In addition to psychotherapy, I provide coaching and ritual services. Coaching differs from therapy in that it is more focused on a life area or topic, such as intimacy sexuality love or business executive, and can be offered in time limited packages. Coaching may be more future oriented and may target specific blocks that may be in the way of attaining specific goals you want attain in a given area while psychotherapy is a way to understand one's own characterological underpinnings and early childhood influences.
While I have a clinical focus in my practice, I also have a consultation business working with entrepreneurs and businesses using executive coaching and consultation techniques and tools. I help executives and entrepreneurs who have built wealth yet know there is something more to life but are curious how to explore what that may be.
My Guiding Ethical Principles
I believe in working collaboratively so that your resources of energy, time, and money are respected.
I do not believe in keeping people in therapy or coaching for longer than is effective. Therapy can help with more deeply seated issues that have more or less been life-long for you. While coaching can also address these issues, it is more appropriate for specific issues that can be pinpointed.
Why Going to Therapy Does Not Mean You are Weak or Flawed
I know that sometimes struggling and coming to terms with accepting outside help can be humbling and vulnerable. The struggles and tough times in life, while sometimes very painful, are great opportunities for creating a life that you want where you thrive and succeed. Seeking out and accepting help in a challenging time is a sign of strength and I look forward to connecting with you during this time. Psychotherapy is useful to get through some challenging roadblocks to living the full and satisfying life that you want to live. Oftentimes people find that working with a psychologist is beneficial on a variety of levels emotionally, physically and spiritually. I have witnessed many individuals (and couples and families) undergo transformations through the process of psychotherapy in life. It's a joy to see people begin to live lives that satisfy them.
The Duration and Frequency of Therapy
Duration and Frequency is a personal decision that we can collaboratively discuss in the first few sessions.
I also offer group classes and therapy on the topics of: couples sensuality, psychedelic integration, and mindfulness.
