My Approach to Helping
I am a psychiatrist who primarily uses talk therapy to treat individuals. I have specialized training in child and adolescent work, and see children and adolescents as well as young adults for treatment. I also work with couples and families. There are multiple types of therapy which can be used, depending on the treatment goals of the patient, including psychodynamic psychotherapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, supportive therapy, interpersonal therapy, and person-centered psychotherapy.
My ideal client would wish to use talk therapy to improve their general well-being and daily functioning. They may need help understanding their emotions and how they function on their own and within relationships.
My specialty in psychiatry and years of experience allow me to offer multiple potential treatment modalities for my clients who may present with many different types of mental health challenges.
There is no reason to suffer without reaching out to someone for help. Please contact me or another mental health professional if you are sad, anxious, having difficulties with your relationships, or are dissatisfied with how things are going in your life. Mental health is equally important as physical health and is key to overall well-being.
