Why Going to Therapy Does Not Mean You are Weak or Flawed
I believe my role as a therapist is to provide guidance and support to help you to be the best version of yourself. Choosing therapy is not a weakness, it takes courage and strength to seek support. I believe that we are imperfect people living in an imperfect world. As we walk in our day to day journeys, there are people who are equipped to walk with us in life, support us, counsel us, and empower us to conquer any obstacles we are faced with. Individualized and person centered therapy can help you to live a life full of hope, positivity, peace, and help to maintain mental and emotional wellness.
Importance of the Client-Therapist Alliance
The client-therapist relationship is fundamental. Building trust is vital, without trust a client can not express themselves or feel comfortable with being emotionally vulnerable. Trust is indeed the foundation of the client-therapist alliance! We have to work together to explore the life, patterns, goals, and changes that you are seeking to attain. As long as you trust me as your therapist, trust the process, and do the work; the changes in how you think and feel will be transformational.
