My Approach to Helping
Hello. My name is Diane Marshall, LMHC (MH10148). My focus is on thought processing, emotionally reacting, and understanding behavior as a result. I will meet you where you are in your process of help, hope, and change.
My approach is cognitive as well as behavioral and I am culturally competent. I have spent of my career working with clients from crisis, to safety, diagnostics, risk management, treatment, and discharge planning clients of all ages. I am an assertive, active listener communicator who wants to assist you to identify your style, your space, and perspectives regarding the issues.
I grew up in a home where domestic violence was happening and I was not aware until I became an adult. Since age 5, I have always known I wanted to be a therapist. I started college when I was 26 years old. My more conscious life and mindful journey began then. I know that now. I am here to help you progress toward your goals and provide education geared to help you make informed decisions, to obtain the skills, and maintain those skills to manage your challenges.
During your first session, you can expect an assessment. I look forward to hearing more about you and it is an opportunity to learn more about each other. This is a safe space created for you without fear of judgment.
