My Approach to Helping
As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, I draw from a variety of therapeutic modalities to best meet the unique needs of each client. My approach integrates cognitive-behavioral techniques, solution-focused strategies, mindfulness practices, attachment-based insights, and psychodynamic exploration. This allows me to tailor therapy to the individual, whether we’re focusing on developing practical tools for immediate challenges or delving into deeper patterns rooted in past experiences.
I believe in creating a collaborative and supportive environment where clients feel empowered to explore, grow, and achieve their goals. My work is grounded in compassion and the understanding that healing is not one-size-fits-all—it’s a personalized journey that honors each client’s strengths and values.
More Info About My Practice
I work with clients who may be struggling with depression, anxiety, or trauma related to their relationships or family. During our initial sessions, we will explore the issues at hand, and collaborate to create a plan for addressing them in a way that helps you get your life back.
I have over 14 years of experience helping children, teens, adults, and families create healthier relationships with themselves and others. I also specialize in helping couples reestablish love and respect in their relationship.
What I Love about Being a Psychotherapist
I've always believed in following your inner guidance. As a child growing up in a culture that dismissed mental health, I often felt confused and in search of understanding the behaviors and motivations of others.
This curiosity lead me into the field of psychology where I found a path to understand myself and others.
It quickly became my life's purpose to guide others in their quest for self-development.
I feel aligned, inspired, and filled with JOY when I am doing this work.
In order to consistently be the truest version of myself, I attend to my own healing daily.
I do this through self-healing modalities such as meditation, prayer, exercise, nutritious eating, intention setting, and mindfully regulating my experience.
My Therapy Focus
I draw from a variety of therapeutic modalities to best meet the needs of each client. We will explore what brought you to therapy and then decide the most appropriate ways to progress you forward. We'll look at how your thoughts affect your emotions and experience. During treatment, I'll help you learn how to dispute and replace those thoughts to change your feelings and behaviors for the better.
What I Say to People Concerned about the Therapy Process
Going to therapy can feel scary and intimidating. When you are working with the right therapist, your fears will be quickly put to ease as you will feel supported and cared for in an empathic, safe, and non-judgmental space. You can bring your true thoughts and feelings to our work together; I can handle it. The hardest step is starting. From there, therapy begins feeling like a highlight in your week as each session brings a layer of clarity, growth, and self-care.
