My Approach to Helping
Dustin is a therapist at Transitions Therapeutic Services of North Texas – McKinney Office. Dustin received his Master of Social Work from the University of Texas at Arlington in 2012, and his Bachelor of Social Work from the University of Mississippi in 2005.
Dustin has experience and training in medical social work and dual diagnosis case management. Dustin has worked with clients on a diverse spectrum of topics: the LGBT community, depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, life stages, attachment and codependent issues, alcoholism and other substance issues, individuals living with disabilities, and advocating for equal rights.
Most recently, Dustin has been working in the nonprofit sector as a therapist in Dallas, TX. Primarily, Dustin utilizes CBT theories and tools in session. Dustin is excited to use his knowledge and that of his colleagues to better assist clients in empowering and advocating in and for their lives.
When Dustin is not practicing therapy, you can find him spending time with loved ones, travelling, trying new restaurants, planning his next beach trip, and playing with his doodles (Collins and Max)
