My Approach to Helping
In my practice, the therapeutic process is built on a foundation of deep respect for all identities and experiences. I work with individuals, couples, families, and communities from diverse cultural, ethnic, and social backgrounds, as well as those in the LGBTQ+ community, including polyamorous and kink-identified individuals. I recognize that every person’s journey is shaped by their unique cultural, relational, and personal context, and I approach each session with openness and sensitivity to these factors.
For families, we explore dynamics and communication patterns with an eye toward understanding and connection, ensuring that each voice is heard and validated. In working with couples, I focus on fostering healthy communication, mutual respect, and a sense of partnership, always considering the specific needs of each relationship‚ whether that is in a monogamous or polyamorous context. For individuals, we work on self-empowerment and self-acceptance, building tools for navigating life challenges in ways that honor their values and identities.
I also approach therapy with a non-judgmental, affirming stance toward all sexual orientations, gender identities, and relationship structures. My goal is to create a space where you feel safe, understood, and supported, no matter where you are on your journey, and where we can explore solutions that resonate with your values, culture, and lived experiences. The process is collaborative, ensuring that therapy is not only effective but also respectful and inclusive of all parts of who you are.
