My Approach to Helping
Feelings such as grief and loss, frustration, and hopelessness can complicate all aspects of one's life. Navigating these specific challenges is overwhelming and answers can be hard to find. You do not have to suffer in silence. You are not alone. You can get through this with help. I have specialized training in maternal mental health; however, this is not all that I do. I also work with clients who have a variety of challenges which include depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, and more. You want to feel like yourself again, you want to establish some balance and routine in your life. You want your relationship back. I will work with you through your journey of self-exploration, healing, and your ability to implement coping strategies and achieve realistic life goals. I will honor your voice and your understanding of your process. Finding the right fit in a therapist is essential. I am a licensed clinical social worker. I obtained my bachelor’s degree from Georgia State University and my master’s degree from Clark Atlanta University. I am certified through Postpartum Support International to treat perinatal mood and anxiety disorders. I began my work in the field of Social Work in 2008. I have worked with children and adolescents in the Department of Family and Children Services setting, adults with developmental disabilities, and in the hospital setting, helping patients with acute diagnoses. Serving women has become my specialty and passion. I enjoy empowering women of all sorts and encouraging women through a holistic approach. I invite you to reach out to ask questions, discuss your concerns, and get a sense of whether I may be the right fit for you. I look forward to hearing from you.
