My Approach to Helping

I am dedicated and passion about providing healing to youth and young adults who have been through traumatic or stressful events. I am interested in being a voice for the voiceless and committed to providing exceptional care for all clients. I believe early intervention is the 1st step toward emotional healing and therefore I prefer the younger population.

My approach involves identifying and acknowledging what is at the root of the client’s concerns issues while utilize the following modalities: CBT, Motivational Interviewing, Person- Centered and Solution Focus Brief Therapy. The goal of therapy is to help clients learn how to identify and change their destructive or disturbing thought patterns to help encourage change behaviors. I am non-judgmental and welcoming to all.

I want clients to know they are in a safe and supportive environment; feeling accepted and understood, while also challenging and inspiring them to take on new challenges and see things from a different perspective. I also want clients to understand, therapy takes work, it takes time, and the outcome all depends on their efforts and the therapeutic relationship.
