My Approach to Helping
I earned my Master's and Doctoral Degrees in Applied Psychology with a School Psychology focus from Rutgers University. During my graduate training, I focused on working with students with behavioral and emotional disabilities, ADHD, and other special learning needs, particularly within the context of schools. My dissertation assessed general education teachers’ experiences in working with students with disabilities. After graduating from Rutgers, I began working in a school district as a School PsychologistBehaviorist and completed my postdoctoral training requirements for licensure at a school-based mental health center. I have experience with psychoeducational and ADHD assessment, therapy, school-based counseling, behavioral support in school and at home, and consultation with teachers and parents. I also frequently collaborate with parents in finding community mental health and behavior services. I am a Licensed Psychologist and Certified School Psychologist in New Jersey.
