My Approach to Helping

I'm dedicated to helping you overcome the depression, anxiety, and other emotional difficulties that are holding you back from your success and peace of mind. I want to see you truly thrive. Working together, we can help you gain the clarity and confidence for going forward in your life. My approach to therapy is compassionate, interactive, solution-focused, core-level work, and focused on gaining new perspectives and new skills. You can feel better, stronger, clearer and more confident, as an individual and in your relationship. My aim is to strike the right balance between careful listening and providing helpful information and feedback to you. Sometimes you'll just need to get things off your chest, other times you'll need real answers about important questions. We'll start where you are, and we'll go forward together from there. It's really an honor as a therapist to walk alongside you on your journey from depression, anxiety, or relationship problems toward strength, clarity, and peace of mind. In our work together, I'll be dedicated to helping you understand what's gone wrong, both emotionally as well as practically, and then finding ways to work through and overcome those difficulties. I want you to have hope that you *can* feel much better. Please contact me with any questions you might have, or for a free 30-minute phone consultation.

More Info About My Practice

My main areas of focus are helping people with depression, anxiety, trauma, and relationship problems. Every person and every relationship is unique, and so are their emotional difficulties and relationship challenges, so there is no formula that works for everyone. It's so important that you find a therapist who really gets you, who really hears you and understands, someone you relate to naturally and well. From that foundation, therapy helps you gain new perspectives and new insights into what's going on with you, or you and your partner. With greater understanding, you begin to feel differently, and you gain new options for how to go forward in your life in a stronger and healthier way. Whatever difficulty you're facing, whether emotional or relational, you'll need better understanding and some new skills in order to feel better and improve your quality of life. Good therapy with the right therapist is the way forward, and I would be honored to work with you.

How Psychotherapy Can Help

I would say that the essence of happiness is rooted in two things; first, having a very clear and true sense of who you are as a person and as an individual, and second, having good relationships. Psychotherapy is an art and a science that is dedicated to understanding these things and helping people in these areas. When you can see yourself and your partner clearly, both strengths and weaknesses, with acceptance, realism, and compassion, you experience a deep sense of strength and peace of mind inside. When you really see things clearly, you can relate much better to others, most importantly your partner. It's up to you to make these things a priority in your life! Therapy is an investment in yourself and in the people you love.
