My Approach to Helping

I'm a modern, relational therapist specializing in issues such as intimacy, infidelity, breakups/divorce, blended families, and increasing relationship satisfaction. I utilize effective techniques to address today's unique relationship issues. Bickering, in conflict, it can be hard to hear each other, feeling the need to defend, raising your voices rather than improving your arguments. Disconnected, distracted by phones. Sex no longer as hot or passionate as it once was. Betrayed, heartbroken, ashamed, shattered from infidelity. Wondering if this is as good as it gets. Divorce keeps popping up in your mind.
Couples therapy can be intimidating, you're not sure how you got here, but you're ready to stop the repetitive fighting that's getting you nowhere. Slow down, hear each other's pain, needs & reconnect. I am passionate about helping you 'get real' with yourself and each other. Stop pointing fingers, playing the blame game and develop skills to communicate, feel understood. In a safe space for open, real conversations- through collaboration and a direct, nonjudgmental approach- together, we will interrupt the cycle you're stuck in and figure out where and why it rears its ugly head. Finally finding solutions, specific to your relationship. Feel like a team again, rebuild security, playfulness, improve your sex life. Or, create a cooperative separation/divorce and co-parenting relationship.

Wow, the stages we go through- we are here to help you navigate them all, while focusing on your relationships! We are all wired to connect and we want to help you learn to authentically connect and have more satisfying relationships with yourself & others.

What I Love about Being a Psychotherapist

It's a privilege for me to be apart of your journey. Having been in therapy myself, I've learned it's okay to not be okay and sometimes we need to ask for help. I'm humbled everyday getting to helping couples find how to flirt, express needs, and mitigate conflict with more ease. Bearing witness to the 'aha moments' where you begin to understand & challenge your behaviors, and how they impact your relationships. Delving into discussions that may carry shame. Learning your love language, how you're showing & receiving love. Changing your love lives. Real relationships are possible, and I look forward to getting the opportunity to work together to create the relationships you desire & deserve.
