My Approach to Helping

Safe, relaxed, open, helpful, transformative, grounded, alive. These are a few words that begin to describe my approach to my work as a therapist.

Life can be complicated, but often our minds make it more so, as they wrestle with this and that, encumbered by the past and worried about the future. Sound familiar? Welcome to being human.

There is no such thing as a pain-free life. And though there is such a thing as an open, loving, exciting, and fun life lived intensely and consciously, we can only find that life if we are ready to face our own shadow. That's where I come in.

I will work with you to find your moment, to accept yourself in that moment, and then to move from there. When we accept and soften towards everything we are in any given moment, life's possibilities open up.
In addition to the work we do in session, I encourage my clients to seek out other supports, and offer any resources I may have regarding these things. Please contact me if you\'re interesting in talking about working together, or would like to set up an initial session. Best to you in your life and healing journey.

What I Love about Being a Psychotherapist

I love guiding people to find the strength that lives in the places we fear, loathe, or don't understand within ourselves. I love seeing people experience the relief of seeing something clearly after avoiding it for years. I love teaching people how to relax in their bodies, feel their breath, and use this state of being as a way to connect with their greater and deeper truths. I love watching my clients become more loving and satisfied in their own lives.

There is an opening that happens when someone discovers that they have nothing to be afraid of in the therapy room. When that happens, healing spontaneously occurs as new connections with strength and self-love are created and explored. This process is the heart of my practice.
