My Approach to Helping
I am interested in helping people navigate the many challenges life brings. As an active listener, I am careful to notice significant themes, so that we can then untangle complex situations and gain more understanding in moving forward. I also use creative and experiential approaches in couples therapy. When working with couples I help my clients discover what is preventing them from feeling fully connected, develop compassion and understanding toward each other, and create new and positive ways of being together in a strong and loving bond.
I believe therapy is an opportunity to delve into a process of self-discovery, and every person has the potential to grow, learn, heal, and make changes that bring more meaning and better satisfaction in life. As a music therapist, I integrate creative modalities for the purposes of self-exploration and processing thoughts and feelings. Experiencing imagery with the support of music, for example, can be particularly revealing of personal resources and insight. To read more about music therapy, visit https:ami-bonnymethod.orgaboutfaq.
