My Approach to Helping
***ACCEPTING NEW CLIENTS***
When I began my career, I had a vision.
I wanted to help people find meaningful, healthy connections and help them discover a better way of living. After more than a decade of professional experience in the field, I have a keen understanding of the complexities of the relationships we build. As a Licensed Couple and Family Therapist, I focus on both the individual and the relationship unit when working with my clients to open up lines of communication. This comprehensive approach sets me apart from the rest.
As a culturally competent therapist with extensive international experience, I enjoy working with individuals and couples from all backgrounds. I cater to a variety of clients, and I specialize in relationship issues, family conflicts, emotional abuse (narcissistic abuse), trauma, anxiety, depression, and stress. During my career, I have counseled thousands of individuals, couples, and families, taught seminars and classes worldwide, and spent more than ten years helping clients in the field.
Using evidence-based psychotherapy methods, I love helping my clients overcome and persevere no matter how they might have felt when they first came to me. I am warm, genuine, and compassionate. I am passionate about helping people gain insight into their thoughts, unhelpful beliefs, and behavioral patterns that hold them back in life. Together, we can try to heal from past traumas, learn some coping skills, and we can work on rebuilding healthy relationships with yourself, your partner, your family, and others.
My trainings in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Relational Life Therapy (RLT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), The Gottman Method Couples Therapy, and Emotionally Focused Couple Therapy allow me the flexibility and freedom to customize my approach based on my client's needs. I also provide Brainspotting which can help processing traumatic memories and healing symptoms of emotional distress.
