My Approach to Helping

Each of us has the capacity for wholeness and for living fully and authentically. If you are not living wholly, there is something in the way, and you may feel it expressed in some area of your life. It may be in relationships, workcareer, social life, parenting, or the replay of past traumas or losses. My approach is to explore with you so we can both find the root of the difficulty. I am interested in healing, not fixing. And I collaborate with you to learn from you so that I fully understand your experience, and we together find the way through.

Mostly, I use a model of working with Self and parts wherein we see ourselves as whole and complete, yet with parts that can become extreme at times when they see a need to protect. As we get to know these protective parts, they usually soften so we can then access the more vulnerable parts that need healing. As these vulnerable parts heal and let go of their long-held burdens, the current disturbing patterns in the your life change. Healing is evidenced by letting go of burdens, a shift in energy, and a change in some aspect of your life.

More Info About My Practice

My sessions are one full hour in length. I take out-of-network insurance plans, also negotiate for self-pay.

I enjoy my work immensely; I am continually learning new ways to approach my work and finding what works toward real healing. Although I take many workshops, trainings and read a lot, most of my learning comes from the many people who have sat in my office and whose lives have touched mine.
