My Approach to Helping
I frequently work with clients who struggle with many things like depression, anxiety, grief, trauma, challenging relationships, or a loss of their sense of self that affects their relationships, ability to function, work, career, or day-to-day life. Clients often initially report feeling exhausted, overwhelmed, frustrated, and lost by what it means to live up to someone else's standards, just having to get through the day, the thought that the overwhelm will never end, or other relatable problems.
In my work with clients at Waterbrook Therapy, compassion, empathy, and care are at the heart of my practice. I believe all humans have a right to a safe space to express their emotions and thoughts authentically, and it is in creating this space with clients that I have helped them develop insight that leads to tangible change, learn coping skills that help regulate their nervous system, or simply provide psychoeducation regarding their mental health symptoms. Most importantly, I have worked with clients to learn about and discuss their feelings and thoughts in a way that enables them to process their experiences and create new narratives.
I guide my clients to learn about their needs, values system, to build confidence, and to create boundaries that help them in their personal, professional, and romantic relationships. If you are interested in engaging in your life more authentically, or at the very least, learning more about yourself, please do not hesitate to reach out and schedule a free consultation with me!
