My Approach to Helping

Are you tired of chronic pain controlling your life or are you seeking help to support a loved one? Pain does not discriminate. It holds no age nor cultural boundaries. It can present as visible or invisible symptoms. Living with chronic pain is debilitating, impacting not only your physical well-being but also emotional and mental health. It can lead to feelings of frustration, anxiety, depression, and isolation. You may find it difficult to engage in activities you once enjoyed, affecting your relationships, work, and overall quality of life. If you're struggling with persistent pain and its emotional consequences, I can help.

My approach is grounded in developing coping strategies to address emotional distress. I can help you learn sleeprelaxation techniques and how to re-engage in meaningful activities. Rebuilding a sense of purpose and well-being is key to better managing your pain and living a more fulfilled life.
You don't have to suffer in silence. Your pain is real. Through a person-centered approach, my goals can help identify individual needs, and support your growth in building self-esteem to restore balance, and inspire independence and hope. Our work can help build new habits to create lasting positive change in your life.

More Info About My Practice

At Ascend Individual and Family Therapy Services, we are dedicated to providing uniquely tailored therapy services for each population we serve. Our clinicians have distinctive personal and professional backgrounds that drive their passion to support you through the healing journey.

My Role as a Therapist

I am a dedicated associate psychotherapist who supports teens, adults, and families. I create a safe place to discuss your concerns and challenges at home, work, or school. I can help you be seen and heard as you try to communicate and set boundaries. I understand that thoughts and feelings can be painful if you do not trust yourself or others.

Through a person-centered approach, my goal is to help identify individual needs, and support your growth in building self-esteem to restore balance, and inspire independence and hope. I believe everyone possesses unique strengths and abilities that can provide a foundation to healing and achieve goals. Our work can help build new habits to create lasting positive change in your life.
I am a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC), the only professional counselors educated and trained specifically to serve individuals with disabilities. Having developed a severe chronic pain condition at a young age, I adjusted my lifestyle to foster independence and success. My hope is to provide a compassionate environment for one to explore their situation and identify needs to inspire positive lifestyle changes.

Overall my work has centered on supporting monolingual Spanish speaking parents youth, multicultural families, youth and adults in the legal justice system, and individuals with at risk mental health symptoms. I am deeply humbled and value connecting with such diverse populations. I believe each client is unique and offers an individual lived experience, background and culture.
