My Approach to Helping
My name is Gina Wills, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). I have over ten years of experience working with adolescents and adults who are experiencing symptoms of depression, anxiety, and overwhelming stress.
My belief is that everyone learns differently. All clients are unique, and I do not believe that one treatment modality can be used for every client. Together we will collaborate to ensure you get the most out of therapy with an approach that is tailored to you and your goals.
I have experience in working with adolescents and adults. During these years we go through many transitions and life can become overwhelming at times. I have successfully worked with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, and additional stress due to various reasons. My goal is to assist clients in establishing skills to help them alleviate their symptoms and restore inner peace.
I am calm and personable. I work to create an environment that is non-judgmental, safe, and confidential. I believe we must develop a positive rapport for the client to get the most out of therapy and to achieve their goals.
Every person has their own story, and our experiences and past shape who we become. No matter what stage we are at in life, it can become overwhelming at times; my passion is to assist people in overcoming these feelings by establishing coping skills and having them achieve their best selves.
Together we will collaborate to identify goals you would like to accomplish. We will discuss your progress and any new goals you would like to establish as we continue to work together.
During our first session, we will discuss what brought you to therapy and what you hope to accomplish during our time together. I understand engaging in therapy may be anxiety provoking, and I work to create a confidential, safe, and judgement-free space for you to feel comfortable in.
