My focus is on building a genuine connection with you, where you feel truly comfortable sharing your thoughts and feelings. Specific Issue(s) I'm Skilled at Helping With
I enjoy helping college-aged individuals and older navigate life transitions, especially when it comes to managing anxiety, stress, self-esteem issues, perfectionism, and people-pleasing tendencies. This period of significant change can be challenging, and I like working with clients to build healthier boundaries, ease self-imposed pressure, and create more balance in their lives.
How Psychotherapy Can Help
Psychotherapy can help by being a supportive space where people can explore their thoughts and feelings, gain insight, and develop practical coping strategies, empowering them to make meaningful changes in their lives.
My View on the Purpose of Psychotherapy
I see the purpose of psychotherapy as helping people better understand themselves and their experiences so they can live more authentically. It?s about fostering self-awareness, emotional healing, and personal growth. The goal is to provide clients with the tools they need to manage life's challenges in a way that feels empowering and sustainable.
What I Love about Being a Psychotherapist
What I love about being a therapist is getting to be part of people's most vulnerable and transformative moments. It?s incredibly fulfilling to create a space where clients feel seen, heard, and understood while they work through their struggles. Seeing that growth and trust build over time is what makes this work so meaningful to me.
My Role as a Therapist
As a therapist, my role is to provide a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients can explore their thoughts and emotions. I see myself as a guide, helping clients gain insight, develop new coping skills, and navigate the complexities of their lives. My job isn?t to ?fix? anyone, but to empower people to find their own paths toward healing and growth.
On the Fence About Going to Therapy?
I totally get that starting therapy can feel intimidating, especially if you?re unsure what to expect. My goal is to create a space where you feel comfortable and safe to explore whatever is on your mind, without pressure or judgment. Therapy is really just about having a conversation and getting support as you work through things at your own pace. If you're on the fence, it's okay to take it one step at a time ? we?ll go at a pace that feels right for you.
How My Own Struggles Made Me a Better Therapist
After navigating my own challenges in my early 20's, I found clarity and direction through personal growth and therapy. Working with a therapist who made a profound impact on my life inspired me to pursue a career where I could provide the same support to others. Now, I?m dedicated to helping people on their own journeys with care and understanding.
Importance of the Client-Therapist Alliance
The client-therapist alliance is truly the foundation of therapy?it?s built on trust, understanding, and mutual respect, and it?s what makes real healing and growth possible.
