My Approach to Helping

Hello! I'm a licensed clinical psychologist who's worked professionally for 8 yrs in addition to my prior 6 yrs of clinical training in various community outpatient, managed care, and hospital settings. While I have extensive experience across the age span, my current focus is adolescent, young adult, and adult therapy. My clinical specialties include trauma, adjustment or life transitional challenges, and healthy identity development. Experiencing incongruence between one's expectations and reality at a critical time in one's life can lead to a cascade of mental health symptoms, impairing one's ability to respond adaptively and thrive.

Experiencing mental unwellness impacts-- and is impacted by--many critical areas in one's life, such as interpersonal and social relationships, identity development and self-perception, academic or occupational success, and or physical health. Over time, your thoughts and feelings shape your perception of reality, which impacts how you respond to anything outside of your perspective or expectations, and how you adjust to changes, loss, or trauma.

My approach is integrative with an emphasis on contextual-behavioral, cognitive-behavioral, and psychodynamic therapies. All modalities implemented in the work are evidence-based, and determined by your symptom presentation, your current functioning, and your unique needs as an individual. I meet you where you're at; we walk together. My role is to guide you through your internal and external realities, help you identify and leverage your strengths, recover and heal your disowned parts, and locate inroads leading to your own wisdom to facilitate change. I'm really just someone who helps you safely experience you.

If you or a loved one are living a life that seems unsustainable, please reach out. If you aren't sure, reach out anyway. With support to guide you through your curious path, you won't be alone on this journey. You have permission to construct a life worth living; one full of hope, gratitude, purpose, and meaning.
