My Approach to Helping
If you find yourself at a crossroads and are finally ready to address some issues that have been on your mind, therapy can be a powerful tool to help you. Clients come to me with their most personal thoughts and feelings, which they sometimes find confusing or even scary. It is my job to help make sense of these feelings, in order to relieve suffering and help you lead a more satisfying and rewarding life. In sessions, I am warm, direct, and nonjudgmental. Connecting with you in a meaningful way is my top priority; I may be the psychology "expert" in the room, but our time together is interactive and conversational.
My approach to counseling is based upon my knowledge of attachment theory, my years of clinical training and private practice, and my belief that healing in therapy is best achieved when a trusting relationship develops between the client and the therapist. Through this relationship, we are able to rewrite your personal story in a way that opens up your life to more possibility, clarity, and joy.
Wherever you are right now in your life, that’s not where you have to stay. By reaching out for professional help, you’re taking the first step toward resolving current issues and moving in a more positive and fulfilling direction.
