My Approach to Helping
Everyone comes to a point in their life where they find themselves struggling to reach their potential. Whether this struggle includes feelings of depression or anxiety, or it involves a deeper issue, no one has to go through the struggle alone. Sometimes we go through unexpected changes, whether in our professional life, our personal relationships, or even the state of the world. It is times like these where having the right support matters most.
I seek to aid individuals in achieving their potential with many of the tools they already have. I also work with people to recognize thought and behavior patterns that tend to get in the way of them being able to thrive. I draw from the cognitive behavioral, interpersonal, solution-focused, and reality approaches to help overcome life's obstacles.
Being in therapy does not automatically mean something is wrong with you. It is simply the process of taking a look at your life, seeing what works, and what does not, and making the necessary changes to propel you forward.
