My Approach to Helping
Hey Y'all! My name is Hope Czbas and I'm a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC). My approach to therapy is initially one that is client-centered; I believe it is important to first meet a client where they are at with that of compassion and understanding. I have a wide array of training within the mental health field but have the most experience supporting those healing through trauma, identity issues, and emotional distress & regulation skills
With every approach to therapy, I try to make it as individualized to the person I'm working with as possible. I operate through a multicultural and social justice-based lens; meaning, I apply a more intersectional approach to my theoretical frameworks. I feel it's important to recognize how the binary of race, sexuality, gender, religion, culture, socioeconomic status, spirituality, citizenship, and education play a role. My experience and professional training are in the following interventions: CPT, ERP, DBT, CBT, Postpartum Depression / Perinatal Health, Multicultural Counseling, Crisis Intervention, Harm Reduction, and Suicide prevention.
