My Approach to Helping
I primarily treat adult men seeking to examine their self-destructive patterns and attain more authentic and satisfying attachments.
My psychodynamic approach entails an inclusive exploration of your history and the way you've processed the important relationships and experiences of your life. The unique concerns that typically bring men into therapy these days may include addictive behaviors, sexual dysfunction (including pornography addiction), struggles with intimacy, and career frustration, often resulting in low self-confidence, isolation, depression and anxiety, mid-life and aging challenges. My 30 years of experience help me guide the collaborative work as we delve beneath the typical male defenses which include denial, avoidance, repression, and projection. The mutual honesty, respect, and empathy we develop will be the key to the success of our work together. It's a journey that we take together!
