My Approach to Helping
Sometimes in life we reach a point where we feel stuck, but there is hope. My ideal patient is focused upon personal growth and healing. I believe one of the bravest things you can do is begin to understand your own story. Whether it’s depression, anxiety, trauma recovery, PTSD, mood disorders, family relational issues, couples and marriage concerns, parent-child relational problems, substance abuse, addiction, self-harm and suicidal thoughts, grief support, acting-out behaviors, among other issues we face in life, therapy can help. You don't have to do this alone.
I have experience in several acclaimed therapeutic models, including: Dialectical-Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), and various Family Systems models. I strive to be empathetic while being assertive enough to get to the heart of the issue.
