My Approach to Helping
Hello! I'm Jacklyn Dunski, a caring and dedicated Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with board certification. With over ten years of experience in various healthcare settings.
Are you feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or just stuck, wondering if anyone can truly understand what you’re going through? I know reaching out can be hard, and I want you to know I’m here to help. My approach to therapy is grounded in compassion, warmth, and a genuine commitment to helping you feel heard, understood, and empowered.
When we work together, you’ll find that I’m not just here to listen—I’m here to collaborate with you, to create a safe and welcoming space where we can explore what you’re going through and find practical ways to move forward. I believe in looking at each person as a whole, which is why I use a blend of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness practices, and a person-centered approach to help you achieve the well-being you deserve.
Our sessions are about more than just talking through struggles; they’re about building on your strengths, finding solutions, and exploring new perspectives. I’m a strong believer in the healing power of warmth and even a bit of humor, so my goal is to create a comfortable environment where you can feel at ease.
If you’re dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, or any other challenge, know that you’re not alone. I’m here to support you every step of the way, and together, we can work toward finding the peace, balance, and joy you’re looking for. Let’s take that first step together.

My View on the Nature of 'Disorders'
I believe that mental health disorders are complex and multifaceted, often arising from a combination of biological, environmental, and psychological factors. Each person?s experience is unique, and mental health struggles are not a sign of weakness or failure. They are a natural part of being human, and I see them as an opportunity for growth and healing.
In my view, disorders like anxiety, depression, PTSD, ADHD, and others are not just "conditions" that need to be fixed, but signals from your mind and body that something isn?t in balance. These signals may point to past trauma, ongoing stress, relationship issues, or even underlying medical conditions. I take a holistic approach to understanding and treating these disorders, considering the mind-body connection and addressing all aspects of your well-being.
I see my role as a guide who partners with you to explore the root causes of your struggles, not just focusing on managing symptoms. Together, we?ll work to rebuild your emotional resilience, restore balance, and improve your overall well-being. I believe that healing is possible, and with the right tools, support, and mindset, you can move forward in a healthier, more fulfilled way.
