My Approach to Helping
Struggling with symptoms of anxiety, depression, trauma, addiction, or however your distress may be showing up can make us feel trapped, in cycles of outbursts or avoidance, ashamed, and coping in ways that are not sustainable. Often we blame ourselves bringing us further from feeling connected. Typically what we are seeing on the surface is our way to cope with the issues that lie underneath. Therapy is the creation of a compassionate and purposeful environment to facilitate the dive into deeper issues, seeing how these issues present in daily life, and developing relevant skills to free ourselves from these issues.
I utilize a psychodynamic, relational, and somatic based framework to help you dive inward to find underlying issues. I use mindfulness meditation based practices to help my clients build evidence based skills to move through their symptoms and into inner strength. My integrative approach is here to help you find practical application in daily life.
We can begin on a path aiming at feeling present and competent in daily life, building a flow with your emotional experiences, and towards your goals in life.
